By relocating Faculties I and II of the University of Siegen to the city center, the formation of the new University Campus Siegen Mitte will be completed, including Faculty III, which has already moved to the "Unteres Schloss" area. To form the campus, the former Hettlage department store in downtown Siegen is to be converted and rebuilt into a partial library. An interdisciplinary planning competition was held for this purpose, the results of which are to form the basis of the fee calculation. The results are published on the homepage of the University of Siegen (www.uni-siegen.de). A SNAP competition supervision has taken place and a preliminary energy concept has been prepared as a basis for the planning competition.The bidders:inside this award procedure should take the calculation parameters from the winning design.These are summarized as follows:It is a building with approx. 7,200 m² GFA (according to DIN 277). The design assumes a partial preservation of the existing building in the order of approx. 25%. Consequently, it is a matter of 3/4 new construction. As already explained, only university use is planned there. The costs of the project (KG 300+ 400) are estimated at EUR 24.6 million gross.The milestones for the implementation of the project provide for: -Commencement of work: approx. May 2024-Submission of building application: approx. March 2025-Commencement of construction: approx. end of 2026-Completion: approx. end of 2028 After the implementation competition has been held, the specialist planners will be commissioned with the services of LP 1-4.From LP 5 onwards, the client will commission a general contractor to construct the building. A strategic and qualitative goal of this construction measure is the overall promotion of environmental and climate protection through a sustainably and innovatively developed building in construction and operation.The goal of the certification process for the conversion/expansion of a former department store to the partial library of the University of Siegen is the certification level according to DGNB Gold.It is intended to commission the following services with this tender:Auditor services within the scope of a DGNB certification - System Gebäudeeubau- Nutzungsprofil Bildungsbauten:Pre-check, services in the planning phase, pre-certification, services in the execution phase, services after completion/audit.Possible services within the scope of certification at criteria level, see award documents.With regard to the possible services, the client reserves the right to award optional services (in whole or in part).
