Description

A total of 4 road bridges, which have reached their load limit, cross the two lock chambers. The road bridges will be dismantled in two construction phases and replaced by a new structure crossing the eastern lock chamber. A road embankment will be constructed in the area of the backfilled western chamber. Furthermore, all pipelines are to be routed over a new pipeline bridge to be built. Project scope of the awarding unit - subproject "bridge"- demolition of 4 road bridges - new road bridge (area east chamber)- new road embankment (area west chamber) - new pipeline bridge - construction of the sluice section below the road and pipeline bridge (approx. 40m)- adaptation and renewal of the road drainage system and the stormwater drainage system in areas of Hohe-Schaar-Strasse
The 4 road bridges are to be dismantled and replaced by a new multi-lane structure in the area of the east chamber. A road embankment will be constructed above a trough structure in the west chamber area. South of the road bridge, a pipeline bridge is to be constructed on which the six affected pipeline carriers can cross their pipelines over the new lock chamber. Below the two new bridges, a section of the lock of approx. 40m is to be constructed - in two construction stages, one of them including the underwater concrete base - under the influence of the tide. Due to the new bridge construction, areas of the Hohen Schaar Street including the road drainage or the stormwater drainage system have to be adapted and renewed. The discharge points originally located in the lock chambers must be taken out of service in the course of the construction work and temporarily relocated during construction (the final discharge structures will be constructed in the course of the lock construction or the construction of the southern wing walls). The port railway lines will not be affected by the new construction of the Reiherstieg lock. Rail traffic must be maintained without interruption during the entire construction work. There is a suspicion of explosive ordnance in areas of the affected area. In preparation for the construction work, explosive ordnance investigations and explosive ordnance removal - as far as possible - were carried out. Nevertheless, during the entire construction work, explosive ordnance must be sampled. Finally, the client expects a BIM model for the executed construction work of the awarding unit, which will be created on the basis of the execution planning released for execution.
