Barbados - Barbados - Tender for redesign of GAIA arrivals hall and home porting passenger hall at Bridgetown Port

Description

The Government of Barbados through the Ministry of Tourism & International Transport invites tenders for the upgrade and enhancement of the arrivals hall of the Grantley Adams International Airport, Christ Church and the Home Porting Passenger Hall at the Bridgetown Port, St. Michael. Applicants are expected to exhibit a synergetic approach to the complementary aspects in the design/décor.

The works include but are not limited to the following:

i. An interior design/ décor improvement plan for the two Arrival Halls, incorporating indigenous, historical and culturally authentic imagery and concepts.
ii. Recommendation for the installation of a Barbados Iconic Gallery at the Grantley Adams International Airport.
iii. Specific conceptual drawings and detailed interior design drawings that will serve as the basis for both bidding and construction by a general contractor.
iv. Assist with selection of construction firms that should be given an opportunity to bid on the project based on their reputation for quality, their experience (previous re-design projects are given specific attention), their reputation for on-time and on-budget performance, and their financial credibility.
v. Preparation of necessary bid documents to be sent to construction firms for project.
