Description
You must be able to supply:
• automated interactive, unmanned pedestals to replace traditional manned kiosks
• optical character recognition (OCR) portals to capture container and truck data automatically
• interactive driver pedestals using biometric or cargo card-based verification
• barrier control systems to strengthen security checks for authorised access
• a container recognition system (CRS) with OCR cameras, licence plate recognition (LPR), and optional radio-frequency identification (RFID)
• a gate operating system (GOS) that must be able to integrate with the company’s terminal operating system (TOS) and can be from vendors such as CERTUS, CAMCO, Orbita, Smart Techs and i-TEK (N4 compatible); integration will be done by the TOS supplier and will require gate automation, NAVIS smart access and gate appointment licences
Further requirements include:
• a gate appointment system to optimise truck flow and reduce congestion
• the implementation of Navis Smart Access modules to allow third-party users such as trucking companies and consignees to manage gate operations and improve coordination
