Description
Tenders are being sought for the lead construction role on a 12km highway upgrade on the NSW Central Coast.
The NSW Roads and Maritime Service has called for tenders for the Tuggerah to Doyalson Upgrade of the Pacific Motorway.
The project will involve the construction of roadworks, bridgeworks and associated activities for the upgrade of the M1 Pacific Motorway between the Tuggerah and Doyalson interchanges.
The project will include:
• Traffic management and construction staging to maintain traffic flows on the M1 Motorway whilst constructing an additional (third) travel lane in both the northbound and southbound directions for approximately 12km.
• Removal and replacement of approximately 9 kilometres of existing 2 lane dual carriageway concrete pavement (north of the Wyong River), crushing and recycling concrete to produce a composite pavement in the form of a heavily bound base under deep strength asphalt.
• Construction of a new 2 span super-tee girder bridge near the Doyalson Interchange.
• Widening of two existing bridges under live traffic at Sparks Road and St Johns Road.
• Provision of new signalised intersections at the Warnervale Interchange.
• Rehabilitation of on-ramp and off-ramp pavements to the twin service centres at Jilliby.
• Provision of a commuter car park at the Warnervale Interchange.
Tenders close on September 21.
