Description
This bid solicitation is being issued to satisfy the requirement of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada. It is intended to result in the award of one (1) contract from contract award to March 31, 2025.
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) will undertake a review to assess how Business Risk Management (BRM) program can make positive contributions to reducing agriculture’s climate change footprint and encourage farmers to adapt to climate change. AAFC is seeking expertise to perform two lines of inquiries related to the Business Risk Management (BRM) program:
a. Identify elements of the design and/or implementation of each BRM program that could be perceived, by producers, as penalizing them or incentivizing them to adjust their farming or business practices and which could have an impact on on-farm decisions related to climate change adaptation and/or mitigation;
b. Identify and assess potential changes to BRM program design that could increase producer incentives or minimize producer disincentives for climate change adaptation or mitigation.
The analysis and conclusions will be informed by BRM principles.
