PROJECT: Coastal protection project in the Anse-du-Sud sector

TENDER NUMBER : AO-532020052301

The Ville de Percé is requesting bids for emergency beach nourishment work at Anse-du-Sud in fall 2023 to protect its infrastructure. The work includes, but is not limited to, the search for, characterization and transportation of granular materials to be used for beach nourishment, as well as their placement, the filling of voids under the boardwalk, stairs and ramps, the construction of an outfall, the repair of an access ramp and other miscellaneous work. The work will extend over a length of ± 480 metres.
It should be noted that the project, which is the subject of this request for tender, has not yet obtained all the required approvals (including approval from the Ministère de l'Environnement, de la Lutte contre les changements climatiques, de la Faune et des Parcs - MELCCFP and the Ministère des Pêches et Océans Canada - MPO). The awarding of the contract is therefore conditional on receipt of all required approvals. Analysis of the required MELCCFP approvals is proceeding as normal.
The successful bidder will be required to carry out the work in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by the FQM and dated October 20, 2023.
The Municipality does not undertake to accept the lowest bid, or any of the bids received, and declines all liability to any of the bidders in the event that all bids are rejected. The contract is awarded by decision of the Council of the Municipality, at its sole discretion, and the Municipality cannot be bound in any way other than by a resolution of its Council.

Eligible to bid on this call for tenders are Bidders with an establishment in Quebec or in a territory covered by an intergovernmental market liberalization agreement applicable to the Municipality in the context of this call for tenders, i.e. the Quebec-Ontario Agreement (COA) and the Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).

Tenderers must obtain tender documents from the SEAO website. Fees are set according to the tariffs established by the SEAO.

A bid security of 10% of the bid price must accompany the bid.
