The Forestry Commission is conducting a procurement process for Dry Mowing. It involves the establishment of a Dynamic Procurement System (DAS) based on the Procurement Act 2012 and amended in 2016. With the DAS, Staatsbosbeheer aims to be able to place and award further contracts in a simple and flexible manner. In addition, Staatsbosbeheer aims to be able to attract the specific expertise needed in a flexible way, to enable access for (new) companies and to optimize the quality of services. Dry mowing refers to both Dry mowing of natural grassland and Dry mowing of recreational grassland. This includes the mowing of (non-exhaustive): recreational fields, camping grounds, grass paving, roadsides, dikes and embankments, forts, grass fields, herbaceous vegetation, natural areas, lawns and the free mowing around obstacles such as trees, outdoor furniture and site furnishings such as signs and the like.The hiring of drivers to carry out work for Dry Mowing as well as the hiring of machines for the purpose of Dry Mowing with our own employees are also included in the scope of the assignment. Transport / removal in the mowed area is also within the scope of the order. Transportation/disposal outside the mowed area and processing of grass clippings are not within the scope of the contract unless otherwise specified in a further order.A small portion of the work is currently being carried out by healthcare institutions and sheltered workshops. This is also outside the scope of the contract.
