The AOK Rheinland-Pfalz/Saarland - Die Gesundheitskasse and the nursing care insurance fund of the AOK Rheinland-Pfalz/Saarland - Die Gesundheitskasse (both together hereinafter referred to as "AOK") offer services that take comprehensive account of the need for necessary health and nursing care insurance cover. In its ruling of 30.7.2019 (B 1 KR 34/18 R), the Federal Social Court decided that statutory health insurance funds are not allowed to offer optional tariffs for additional coverage in the event of illness. As a result, the AOK has terminated the "AOK Dental Replacement Optional Tariff" and the "AOK International Travel Optional Tariff", and the cooperation with a cooperation partner is intended to offer AOK policyholders an alternative offer for the cancellation of the above-mentioned optional tariffs and to expand the AOK product portfolio. The cooperation extends to the recommendation of prospective customers for supplementary insurance policies (contact persons) in addition to the health and long-term care insurance cover of the AOK, with the option of adapting the scope and content of the brokerage activity within the framework of the term and, for example, extending it to the brokerage of private supplementary insurance policies (exclusive broker). The AOK Nordost or the nursing care insurance fund at the AOK Nordost offer services that take comprehensive account of the need for necessary health and nursing care insurance cover. In its ruling of 30 July 2019 (B 1 KR 34/18 R), the Federal Social Court decided that statutory health insurance funds are not allowed to offer optional tariffs for additional coverage in the event of illness. The AOK Nordost or the nursing care insurance fund would like to show its insured persons below the threshold of insurance mediation in the sense of § 34d para. 1 GewO (Trade, Commerce and Industry Regulation Act) the possibility of concluding private supplementary insurance contracts as a supplement to the statutory health insurance cover in the sense of § 194 para. 1a sentence 2 SGB V (Social Code, Book V) and private supplementary nursing care insurance in accordance with § 47 para. 2 SGB XI. AOK-insured persons should thus have the opportunity to supplement their health and nursing care insurance coverage individually at exclusive conditions.
