France - Acquisition of an engraving and prototyping machine for the GEII department of the Rennes IUT

Description

The consultation concerns the acquisition of an engraving and prototyping machine for the GEII department of the IUT de Rennes, which will be used to manufacture printed circuit boards developed by the Electrical Engineering and Industrial Computing (GEII) department of the IUT de Rennes. The department is home to over 300 students enrolled in the BUT GEII and Licence Professionnelle Mécatronique programs. The teaching team is made up of 28 teachers/lecturer-researchers and 7 permanent support staff. At present, around 300 cards/year are printed using a chemical development machine, and this equipment, which is over 20 years old, is obsolete. Although the chemical etching method has proved its worth, it does not allow us to easily produce micrometer-scale circuits, or multi-layer circuits.
