will be received until 2:00 p.m. local time on Monday, September 16, 2019, to be open publicly at the same location, on the same day and at 2:05 p.m.


PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The scope of the work described in all the contractual documents covers the work of transforming (refurbishment/repair/renovation) a multicultural centre type building into a collective housing building (comprising a total of 24 dwellings of various types after transformation) as well as various common and technical spaces. This 3-storey building (of which the ground floor is a slab on the ground) built in the 1950s has a mixed structure mainly composed of concrete of rigid frame and steel to which structural elements of steel and wood will be added. Existing exterior siding is masonry (brick and stone) to be preserved/repaired. It should be noted that the entire level 1 must remain of non-combustible construction and that a sprinkler system must be added to this level.

All located at 955 rue Villeray (lot no. 4 631 986) in the borough of Villeray - Saint-Michel - Parc-Extension in Montreal.

The project is funded in part by the SHQ's Accès-Logis program (component 1) and by the City of Montreal.



OBTAINING DOCUMENTS
The tender documents will be available starting Friday, August 23, 2019 at 9:00 a.m., a Dropbox link to download all the documents will be provided to general contractors who will request it by email (see emails below), at a cost of $25 (txs. Included) to be paid on site or by mail to the CDH Group, 1000 rue Amherst, suite 201, Montréal, Qc, H2L 3K5 (IMPORTANT: for the submission of a bid to be receivable, the contractor must have paid this amount at least 7 days before the bid opening date).
To obtain a hard copy of all documents for tender, a specific request accompanied by a payment of $175 (incl. txs.) must be made at least 48 hours in advance and at least 10 days before the opening date of the tenders).
The amounts for the Dropbox link and/or hard copies are non-refundable.


MANDATORY VISIT
The mandatory site visit will take place on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.



OTHER INFORMATION
Companies with their head office in Quebec and any other company that complies with the public procurement release agreements established by the Government of Quebec are authorized to submit bids. Quebec companies must hold a licence issued by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec, in accordance with the Building Act (R.S.Q., c. B-1.1), covering the required work. This license must be valid at the time of submission of the bid.

Bids must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a bid bond equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid submitted, valid for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) days and made payable to or in favour of the project owner "Maison St-Dominique - projet Maison Villeray".

Bidders will be responsible for selecting subcontractors for both their creditworthiness and the content of their bids and will be responsible for ensuring that they hold the required licenses and permits.

The project owner (Maison St-Dominique) does not undertake to accept either the lowest bid or any of the bids received.
