Canada - 23-012 Work to replace an old multi-stack chiller (Currie gymnasium)

Description

The project involves renovating the mechanical room (B-203) in the Currie gymnasium to replace an old multi-channel chiller with a new chiller purchased in advance. This room is located on McGill's downtown campus. Planned work includes:
- Removal and environmentally responsible disposal of the existing main chiller (139-REF1-SS2(B-203)).
- Addition of a chiller including piping modifications to accommodate existing networks
- Installation of electrical wiring and connections for the new cooling system, including power supply and control panel.
- Integration of the new cooling system with the building's control system.
- Performance testing and verification of the new cooling system to ensure it meets specified requirements.

Certain equipment purchased by way of pre-purchase and all actions arising therefrom will be transferred to the general contractor, who will be awarded the construction contract for the entire project by way of a novation agreement. The pre-purchase supplier will then become the subcontractor and supplier of this contractor.

Information session/site visit

Bidders may attend an information session/site visit when scheduled. Attendance is optional. Each bidder who visits the project site does so at his own expense, to see for himself the requirements of the work, and must obtain all relevant information and verify any conditions affecting his contract, as no surplus will be granted for any reason whatsoever.
