Description

This Invitation to Tender (the “RFT”) is an invitation by the Regional Municipality of Niagara (“Niagara Region”) to prospective bidders to submit bids for RR81 King St Vineland Geotechnical/ Excess Soils/ Material Testing/ SUE investigations, as further described in Section A of the RFT Particulars (Appendix B) (the “Deliverables”).The Niagara Region is undertaking the reconstruction of Regional Road 81 (King Street) from Vinehaven Trail to Twenty-Third Street in the Town of Lincoln. The existing 2 lane rural road will be reconstructed to an urbanized cross section with bike lanes, sidewalk, and on-street parking. This project is currently under detailed design and is anticipated to be tendered for construction in January 2025. This Request for Tender is for professional geotechnical consulting services which shall include: necessary work for Soil Management per the requirements of O.Reg.406/19; requisite fieldwork and laboratory testing to establish the sub-surface conditions (including but not limited to soil types, water table, moisture content, soil bearing pressure, and chemical analysis); subsurface utility investigation; and the field and laboratory Quality Assurance (QA) testing to ensure compliance of construction materials to the project specifications. This RFT is being issued to a subset of the Successful Roster Listing developed from Contract 2023-RFSQ-184 specifically Category 1
