Join us to look at how the UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) can help you increase your profits and customer base in the EU.

The UK-EU TCA means an agreement on reduced tariffs for UK businesses selling their goods and services moving from the UK to European customers.

Find out what the TCA means for you, along with any necessary regulations and controls you need to consider when trading with the EU, and the principle of rules of origin (ROO) may apply to your goods.

Catherine Stephens MCIEx (Grad)

Head of International Trade Services, Business West / Bristol Chamber of Commerce

Catherine leads the International Trade Services team at Business West and has worked in international trade for over 27 years. A graduate of the Chartered Institute of Export & International Trade, she specialises in trade documentation, with expertise in Certificates of Origin, ATA Carnets, Letters of Credit, and Customs Declarations.

Catherine is a certified Inspector, Trainer and Assessor for the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC), sits on the BCC Certification Group (focusing on Rules of Origin), and serves on the UKNATACO Advisory Board, which advises the UK Carnet Guaranteeing Association.

A champion for innovation in global trade, Catherine is committed to developing new services and embracing digital solutions that improve speed, security, and ease for exporters. She was instrumental in implementing the world’s first Digital Carnet in 2023 and is currently working with International Chambers of Commerce on Genesis – a new tool to support preferential origin compliance.

Megan Childs

Assistant Manager, International Trade Services, Business West

Megan has been with the International Trade Services team at Business West for over 2 years as an International Trade Documentation Specialist, qualified for issuance of Certificates of Origin, EUR1s and ATA Carnets.

Megan is now overseeing the team of documentation specialists, and is taking a lead on developing services to help exporters with preferential origin claims and Free Trade Agreements, with a view to enhance exporter compliance, reduce costs and grow international markets.
