Edward Dougherty is Principal at dougherty.consulting, llc, a boutique regulatory and reimbursement consultancy in Washington, DC focused on helping medtech companies enter the US healthcare market successfully.  For 30 years, Ed has worked directly with founders, company executives, board members and investors to develop an understanding of the many “healthcare markets” in the US and to prepare to take the concrete steps needed to enter their target market(s) successfully.  He joins client meetings with FDA and with payer decision makers, facilitating interaction to achieve clients’ goals, and helps them position their products and services so that patients have appropriate, broad, easy access and that reimbursement is commensurate with value.  

Ed works to bridge the distance between medtech entrepreneurs and the US healthcare market.  He advises companies in the UK and across the EU, the Nordics, and Israel, and has authored articles about health economics and served as contributing editor to publications on global market access.
