- Understand your full obligations based on the role you play
- Understand market surveillance and how to ensure compliance so your goods continue to move freely into the EU
Description
Artificial Intelligence, software advancements, cybersecurity threats, digitisation, and the increasing complexity of supply chains and crossborder ecommerce is driving a huge overhaul of EU harmonised productsafety and productcompliance laws.
The EU’s New Legislative Framework (NLF) that governs some 30 EU product laws, first introduced in 2008, is going through radical modernisation as part of the EU’s 2026 Work Programme. The programme aims to update the NLF such that all 30 product laws must encompass digitalisation of product compliance; integration with Digital Product Passports; alignment with sustainability objectives; and cohesion in the approach to regulatory updates across different sectors.
Immediately impacted sectors include those currently complying with EU Machinery, Radio Equipment (RED), Toys, Construction products, and Medical Device directives and regulation. If your products currently fall within one or more of these regulations, then you will benefit from joining us for this webinar. We’ll be exploring in detail the impact NLF changes has on each of these sector specific regulations, as well as timelines for implementation, and importantly what you need to do to prepare such that your EU trade is uninterrupted.
