- geophysical, hydrographic and geotechnical, including site assessments, the identification of geohazards and sediment behaviour, and seismic assessments for clients in earthquake-prone regions
- environmental assessment and assistance in the development of local environmental mitigation arrangements, including in emerging markets where environmental standards for offshore wind are not yet fully developed
- conceptual engineering, including pre-front-end engineering design (FEED) and FEED for cables, foundations, turbines and substations
- electricity transmission and distribution system design and engineering, including AC and DC subsea and onshore cables, dynamic cable, grid connections and collector systems, substations and overhead transmission lines
- technical and financial consulting, including capability assessments, construction and operation planning, financial modelling, owner’s engineering, technical advisory and tender support,
- end-of-life support, including asset life extension assessments and decommissioning planning
Mott MacDonald distinguishes itself by using expertise gained in other sectors, such as infrastructure and ports, to enhance its offshore wind services.
