Kinewell Energy is a software solutions developer founded in 2015. It offers infrastructure optimisation software solutions that support offshore wind project design with an aim to reduce cost.

Kinewell Energy offers the following 3 software solutions:

• Kinewell Layout Optimisation of Cable software, which designs optimised array cable layouts and typically saves 20% on offshore cable system Capital Expenditures (CAPEX)
• Kinewell’s Designing Offshore Transmission Systems, which enables its clients to make informed decisions in selecting offshore transmission systems
• Kinewell Wake-Optimised Turbine Arrangement, which designs optimised wind turbine layouts, maximising energy production while minimising the wind farm's CAPEX and Operating Expenditures (OPEX)

Kinewell Energy’s solutions are provided for in-house use by clients via a web browser user interface, which allows access to the tools from any location. The company also provides consultancy services in offshore wind farm design, including cable route design and export system configuration.

Kinewell Energy has won the Energy Innovation of the Year 2023 at the North-East Innovation Awards and its TIGGOR (Technology, Innovation and Green Growth for Offshore Renewables) project won Project of the Year at the 2023 Dynamites IT and Technology Awards. It was also shortlisted for Game Changer Award at the RenewableUK’s Global Offshore Wind Awards 2023.
