BVG Associates was established in 2006 and plays a key role in globalising offshore wind. It provides strategy consultancy to the offshore wind sector, helping its clients succeed in a sustainable global electricity system founded on renewables. Its client base spans developers, government, enabling bodies, investors and the offshore wind supply chain.

BVG Associates delivers strategy-defining analysis based on deep industry knowledge of how market, economic and technological influences overlap. Its services for the offshore wind industry cover:

• auctions and economics, including bid strategy, jobs and local economic benefits assessment, Levelized Cost Of Energy (LCOE) modelling and site finding
• business strategy, including market analysis and forecasting, market intelligence, portfolio and operations strategy, supply chain analysis and technology strategy
• industry building, including the development of industry roadmaps for established and emerging markets, the delivery of energy strategy, policy and frameworks, and marine spatial planning

In Japan, BVG Associates has a strategic partnership with Mitsubishi Research Institute (MRI), with which it has delivered several projects for Japanese government and industry.

BVG Associates has provided services to over 400 clients globally. It has contributed to 3.8 gigawatts (GW) of early development projects, 32 GW of projects in development and 7 GW of operational projects. In APAC, its track record includes:
